you should make a tail more aerodynamic because seems to be hard to turn with block tail like that

Is it just me, or is anyone else getting an "X-wing" vibe here?

would require another set of wings. also stop and condsider that because all you typically see for starfighters is the starwars, battlestar, ect... that your mind automatically tries to push them into one of those catigories. im more inclined to think this looks like a real life aircraft (which name escapes me). and of course, it has a cockpit, and wings.... oh hey.... look monkies! they look like people they have arms and legs! get my point?

Not really; the tails and engine placement are similar, and, while I know that that wasn't the intention, and it's not supposed to, blah, blah, blah, but you can't argue that it has a greater resemblance to the x-wing than it does to the, say, hellcat or MiG-15.

id bears a great resemblance to a cross between the X-29 and an A10(just in terms of weapons pylons of course

Great design and all, nice render. :)

Just for a rant: I wonder why futuristic plane from hundreds of years to the future from now would have a pilot- especially when it's a fighter. Even today the manned combat aircraft are hitting their limits because of the limitations of the human body, so it'd make sense to phase out the pilot from the plane... that'd make room for some cooler designs, no?

The front profile just screams "X-WING". xD And the big bulky rear isn't helping either.

The snub nose is what makes me think of it.

Though the canards and nose together in the top-view profile make me think of a squid.

Ferret? I think an air-frame like that deserves a more masculine name.

Well, we are in space, so speed grows = impacts with dust are more harmful

Space AND atmosphere... and if in space it's speed would be able to keep climbing. As for dust, it has shields and other technologies to help with that :)

In fact there will bi several obstacles limiting max. velocity. Here are some of them:
- Fuel. Constant acceleration requires lot of fuel. This device has not too much room for H-fuel, compacted rocket fuel or what it uses (BTW, Eri, what's the engine type? Plasma, rocket, wave propulsion?). Moreover, in space primiary engines are operated in standby mode most of time.
- Maneuverability. Pilot need some time to react if flight trajectory must be changed, and more time is required to perform a manuever (don't forget, we're in space, gas resistance will not slow down our spacecraft all the time).

So, answer is yes, F-64 can speed up infinitely, but only in open space, moving straigt forward or backward, and with fuel refinery plant attached.

At least, 12600 m/s (Escape velocity on Aurora) with afterburners. This craft must be capable to leave orbit on its own
