Like the infamous japanese zero fighter aircraft. It was lightly armored and overpowered to give it high speed and manuverability. Sure it could be shot down but it was fully capable of outmanuvering its' opponents. I like this!

very functional from a military perspective. majority of the craft has a small surface area, the mass is kept to a minimal (can it operate in an atmosphere?) areodynamic. the engines are kept further from the rest of the unit, and apparently unarmored (weight reduction?). which seems logical in certain respects, primarily cost reduction and maintenance of the smoothform.

all and all its a very nice minimalist design, i love it.

J-2 is atmospheric-capable and has enough armour to stand a pack of AA-shells (by the operation manual, really it does not). The engine and powercore (cylinder in the back) and cockpit armour are the only things remain after AA-shell hit =)
in comparsion with other countries multirole fighers, J-2 is fast, insane, reckless suicide capsule =)
